It’s been a long while since I’ve written anything in here. Grant writing, correcting thesis etc is what i’ve been doing the last few months (and still going) but its good to be back here writing again. I’ve missed it.
Its been probably a month ago that Caleb and I ventured into excelsior cafe in Shenton Park. We love going to Lake Jualbup playground. They recently re-did the playground and it now boast a brand-spanking new playzone for both toddlers and kids. With a new climbing structure, toddler play area, swings, see-saw and lots and lots of sand, Its one of the nicest playground I’ve been to. One of the best part is the playarea is very shady. Theres also a lake in the park (and a walking track around it) and lots of native/exotic birds, depending on the season. Ample parking spots as well. When you’re there next, pack a picnic mat as well as there is plenty of grassy area to picnic around.
Next best thing there is its soooo close to a cafe. Its within 100m to the playground which means you can easily walk there, sit in for a cuppa, OR have one to go. I think cafes near playgrounds should be made mandatory. On that day, we chose to walk there after our play session. Oh, and since my last blog, Caleb has finally started walking (@15 mths)!!
And yup, Calen has started on the babycino. Trying to up his milk intake so I’m doing it whatever way I can. And also it keeps his grubby little fingers off my coffee 🙂
Excelsior deli is a very kid friendly place, plenty of room for even a pram. It also has larger tables for bigger groups. Oh and did i mention they also do their own gelato? Haven’t tried it but they sure look good. Next time for sure!
